Directions
Set the oven to 375°F. Drizzle 1 tablespoon Butter Olive Oil on the bottom of 8x8 baking dish and coat evenly.
In a large bowl, mix the apples, cornstarch, 2 Tbsp. brown sugar, Tahitian Vanilla Balsamic, and ¼ teaspoon sea salt in a bowl. Once the apples are evenly coated, spread into an even layer in the baking dish.
In a medium bowl, mix together the oats, flour, remaining brown sugar, cinnamon and remaining sea salt. Once combined, drizzle butter olive oil and mix until crumbly. Spinkle crumble mixture over apples.
Cover the dish and bake for 35 minutes, or until the apples are bubbling. Uncover and bake until the crumble is golden brown, about 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let rest for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Recipe Note
Using olive oil instead of butter makes this recipe easy to put together. Try swapping the butter olive oil for Blood Orange Olive Oil or for a more unique combination our Wild Rosemary Olive Oil. Tahitian Vanilla Balsamic is a natural choice with this dessert, but Maple Balsamic or Espresso Balsamic would be very welcome additions!
