Step aside beef patty, the sweet and savoury balsamic jam is the true star of this burger recipe. Salty bacon, onions, and garlic are married with Blackberry Ginger Balsamic and brown sugar to create a rich and flavourful topping for this smash burger. Toast your bun in Garlic Olive Oil and top with goat cheese and arugula for a gourmet burger experience.
Over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy, remove and set aside. Sauté onion in bacon fat, add garlic, sugar, balsamic, salt, and pepper. Cook until thick. Stir in bacon.
Heat a skillet or pan to medium. Add Garlic Olive Oil to the pan and place bun cut side down to toast for one minute or until desired. Set aside.
Form beef into patties and place on the same pan or skillet. Cover with parchment paper and press into a thin patty. Season with salt and pepper then cook two minutes per side until crispy.
To assemble place the patty on the bun, top with balsamic jam, goat cheese, and arugula.

Hi @Sami, thanks for the comment! That sounds delicious with our Mission Fig Balsamic; you can’t really go wrong with bacon and onions alongside it!

I made this with Fig Balsamic, as that was what I had on hand and it was unbelievably good, I will have to try it with the Blackberry Ginger Balsamic, once I get some.
