I've gotten the Pick 6 from Evoolution before, and love it as a way to try out flavoured vinegars and infused EVOO. This time around I chose six infused oils to use for cooking over the holidays. The size is perfect - bigger than a sample size, but without investing in a larger size bottle until such time as I've had a chance to try the oils out. It's great for salad season, too, letting me experiment with a variety of salad dressings.
The selection was a gift for my niece; she was thrilled to receive it!
I am a long term customer of Evoolution oils. I moved to Mexico a year ago and could not live without these products. So thankful they ship to me here now in Mexico. Not manu Asian restaurants here, so now make my own Asian food. Evoolution’s toasted Japanese sesame oil is outstanding and is necessary in my kitchen for a delicious outcome.
This is by far my favourite olive oil, sure there are stronger/potent varitals but this is my go to esp for a finishing oil (it cooks perfectly but you loose the nuance). It has a moderate peppery finish - one ahem maybe two if had by itself. My most favourite part of the oil is its green apple up front through to the finish where the pepper takes over - this is the nuance that is lost when cooking.
I use it on boiled crushed/whole potatoes and salt, salad dressings, mixed with their 18 year Balsamic for bread dipping, finishing pasta or when I need a more flavourful cooking oil where costco just wont do on chicken and pork and fish
My family who I gifted the calendar loved it, They have tried some of the recipes and think it is the most original one ever
I have yet to open the Chilean Frantoio/Leccino blend or the Hocellara that came in this order. I’m finishing up a superb bottle of Koroneiki before I do. However, I can say the packaging was carefully done and the speed of delivery across Canada was, as usual, very good. I’ve become a solid customer of Evoolution as the other oils and balsamic vinegars I’ve tried are high quality and the shipping process is top notch.
